Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc is excited to offer an opportunity for an Experienced Forming Carpenter to join our experienced & professional team

The Forming Carpenter plays a critical role in the successful completion of Milestones projects. Forming Carpenter’s contribute to efficient daily productions through proactive thinking, preplanning, and active communication with Foreman and Superintendents. Milestone's civil division works on a variety of different projects. The work includes civil & infrastructure, environmental construction, industrial & commercial, residential development, landscaping, and much more

The Forming Carpenter will be involved in specific civil division projects, independent projects for clients, and/or landscaping phases of Milestones civil construction projects.

**Duties & Responsibilities - What is my role?**
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches
- Prepare layouts using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install duct banks, lay conduits and tie wire rebar.
- Help schedule and coordinate work on sites with foreman
- Own tools/equipment
- Steel-toed safety boots

**Qualifications & Requirements - What skills & qualifications do I need?**- High School Graduate
- 2+ years experience
- Ability to work in confined, noisy, dusty spaces
- Flexibility and ability to work with various locations in and around Victoria/Duncan area, as well as in different work settings (commercial, industrial, heavy civil)
- Flexibility to work overtime if/when needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to do extensive physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to work in all weather
- Punctual and reliable
- Friendly, positive, and open attitude, always willing to learn and improve
- Ability to work and communicate within a team
- Help promote and work within a culture of jobsite safety, where safety is everyone's #1 priority
- Experience in construction industry is an asset
- Ability to consistently complete daily safety documentation
- Attention to detail is an asset.
