Overview: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by managing costs relating to building and civil engineering projects. Responsibilities: - Prepare estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects. - Conduct cost analysis and provide advice on cost-effective solutions. - Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive prices. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget. - Utilize software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other construction estimating tools. - Monitor project progress and costs throughout the construction phase. - Provide accurate financial reports and forecasts to project stakeholders. - Assist in project management tasks related to cost control and procurement. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. - Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation within the construction industry. - Strong knowledge of pricing, building regulations, and construction methods. - Proficiency in project management software and tools. - Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong working relationships. - Certification or membership with relevant professional bodies is a plus.
