**Position**: Production Automation Director
**Location**:9 Channel Nine Court
**Salary**:Operations Group 9b - (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)
**Hours of Work**: 40 hours per week. (Shift work and overtime as required)

**Responsabilities**:

- Diriger ou agir en tant qu'assistant directeur en utilisant l'automatisation pour préparer et produire des émissions pour diverses productions de diffusion
- Chronométrer toute l’émission et les éléments individuels de diffusion, y compris les surimpressions, les reportages, les montages en direct, les entrevues et d’autres aspects d’une émission
- Tenir l’équipement, les logiciels et les appareils techniques dans un état convenable et prêt à servir en s’assurant qu’ils sont en état de fonctionner
- En cas de panne technique ou d’interruption de la programmation, effectuer des substitutions ou des rajustements afin de maintenir la continuité du service. Aider des membres du personnel de diffusion à régler des problèmes
- Coordonner les activités liées à la production et à la présentation des émissions
- Tenir le réalisateur, les artistes et l’équipe au courant de tout nouveau développement ou changement important à l’émission
- Utiliser l’équipement de commutation, les générateurs de caractères, les systèmes audio, de lecture/Nexio, le télésouffleur et tout autre équipement technique connexe, au besoin et dans le cadre de son horaire régulier de rotation à la régie du plateau
- Utiliser l’équipement automatisé de caméra de studio
- Organiser et faire répéter tous les éléments de l’émission pour veiller à ce que les artistes et l’équipe soient bien préparés
- Au besoin, commander des lignes et des satellites de radiodiffusion, et coordonner les émissions en extérieur
- Veiller à ce que tous les éléments utilisés dans l’émission soient préparés selon les normes définies
- Fournir un horaire précis aux artistes et aux membres de l’équipe tout au long de l’émission
- Effectuer d’autres tâches au besoin

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in News & Sports production is a must
- Extensive knowledge of TV production, including switching, shot blocking, computerized still and animated graphic production and news / sports format development
- Experience with automation systems in control rooms and studios
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of iNews or other NRCS
- Ability to work in a team, self-motivated and committed to high production values in
- programming
- Proven creative and multitasking ability
- Superior planning, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Fundamental editorial judgement
- Experience assisting live TV
