This full-time, permanent Shipper/Receiver position is suited for an individual who is eager to learn, enjoys a fast-pace environment, and building solid relationships with both internal and external customers, vendors, suppliers and logistic companies. This position requires a lot of

**Directly Reports To**:

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Ship, receive and record the movement of signage, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from our facility
- Establish and maintain excellent business relationships with freight and supply companies
- Ensure that shipments leaving our facility are secured and transported in a safe and timely manner
- Ensure shipments that enter our facility are accurate, tracked and in good condition

**Other Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work together with Project Managers and Production floor staff to ensure product is delivered to our customers on time and on budget
- Provide quotes, schedule, load, bills, invoices and other shipping documents
- Loading and unloading of product from trucks.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Maintain import/export accounts
- Approve/investigate invoicing for freight
- Communicate with purchaser about backorders, shortages or damaged shipments
- Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas
- Maintain internal record-keeping systems
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
- Practice consistent safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials
- Regularly review paperwork for errors and/or omissions

**Key Competencies/Skills**:

- 1-5 years experience in a related role preferred but not required
- Self-motivated with strong customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent follow-up skills
- Self-starter who thrives on responsibility and accountability
- Strong communication skills - by telephone and in person
- Excellent forklift operating skills
- In good physical condition, capable of standing for 8 hours per day and lifting moderate to heavy loads

**Additional Information**:

- Hourly Rate: $21.00-$25.00; negotiable based on experience
- General Working Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime as required.
- Full benefits after completing probationary period
- Breaks: 1/2hr unpaid lunch + two 20 min paid breaks

**Salary**: $21.00-$25.00 per year
