**Job description**:
**Part-time weekends Caretaker/Cleaner**

**Saturdays and Sundays 8 am
- 4 pm**

**Pay Rate**: $19

**Qualifications**:

- You are a self-starter, able to solve problems quickly
- Customer-centric, friendly, positive, has a “can-do” attitude
- Ability to prioritize and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills MS-Office

**Job Duties**:
This position calls for someone who can:

- Provide general oversight of building maintenance providers: garbage, recycling, laundry, and landscaping services ensuring that all contractors/service providers complete their work properly and in a timely manner.
- Identify maintenance issues as they arise, in both mechanical rooms and residential areas.
- Oversee interior building maintenance and perform minor repairs as required.
- Oversee the janitorial and security staff, monitor contractor’s performance
- Respond to owners and tenant’s requests respectfully and calmly.
- Manage the building’s security (fob access) and fire systems

Respond to emergency calls after hours.
- Perform maintenance duties as needed. [i.e. change burnt out lights, pressure wash exterior common areas, snow removal, etc.].
- Help with emergency response and preparedness.
- Provide a log of work performed daily and prepare a weekly overview for the Operations Manager and Strata Manager

**Experience**:

- Worked as a Caretaker, Building Manager, Facility Manager or Head Concierge, or other equivalent experience of 1 year (preferred)
- Worked with a Strata Corporation and relevant stakeholders - Council, Property Manager, Developer, Owners, Renters, Trades. (preferred)
- General working experience of the main building operation elements such as fire safety, emergency generator, security and access systems

**Physical Requirements / Working Environment**

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Constant walking and monitoring of building equipment and physical structure
- Use of computer equipment to produce documents
- Lifting, pulling and managing equipment and tools.
- Working in all weather and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold.
- They must ensure that all activities are completed safely and efficiently.
- Fluency in English both verbal and written
- Grade 12 - post-secondary education an asset
