As a Data Scientist, you will be an essential part of the Machine Learning team and Innovation team. You will be responsible for the development and management of end-to-end image processing pipelines that integrate with deep learning architectures to produce client facing reports.

This position is on-site in North Vancouver, BC, with flexible work hours.

**Our Team**

With the largest ultrasound datasets globally, DarkVision's Innovation team unites top-tier PhDs, engineers, and research scientists to pioneer automated image processing and deep learning architectures.

**What You Will Do**
- **Data Pipeline Architecture**: Design and build robust data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- **Production-Grade Code**: Develop high-quality, production-level Python code for data processing, analysis, and modeling.
- **Version Control**: Utilize GitHub for version control and collaboration on code repositories.
- **Information Visualization**: Create compelling reports and 3D visualizations tailored for client-facing presentations to VPs and C-suite executives.
- **Database Familiarity**: Work with a variety of databases and object stores for data storage, manipulation, and retrieval.
- **Cloud Computing**: Implement cloud computing solutions with a focus on supporting and optimizing data pipelines.

**Opportunities to Learn and Work On**:

- State-of-the-art deep learning technologies and pipelines.
- Work in an interdisciplinary team.

**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or another STEM field.
- Industry experience as a data scientist.
- Experience in image processing, signal processing, and/or geospatial analysis.
- Professional experience in SQL and Python programming writing production-grade code.
- Understanding of software engineering principles and experience developing production-grade code for data analysis, ETL, or Machine Learning pipelines.
- Knowledge of data analysis, data pipelining, and data visualization tools and techniques.
- Experience with cloud data ecosystems, ideally AWS.

**What Will Put You Ahead**
- Intermediate to senior level industry experience.
- Master's degree or PhD.
- Experience developing data pipelines using orchestration tools such as prefect, airflow, dagster, Kubeflow, etc.
- Experience with 3D data visualization tools and techniques.
- Experience developing conventional or machine learning Computer Vision algorithms.
- Experience implementing unit tests and contributing to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**General Salary Range**

For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $160,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
