Reporting directly to the VP Operations, your primary responsibility is to direct and manage the information technology department for CMB Group of Companies, its vendors and/or CMB staff within the IT department. The IT Manager is responsible for participating in strategic planning, goal setting, projects and program planning, gathering requirements, and determining project costs and implementation.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
IT Manager Duties included but not limited to:

- Maintain, support, and develop all IT -related systems, operations, and services necessary to ensure optimal performance of company infrastructure with limited downtime.
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- Manage the IT Department by coordinating internal staff, consulting resources and outside vendor relationships.
- Hold IT vendors accountable to maintain integrity and security of all company data.
- Monitor IT vendor SLA’s (service level agreements) and KPI’s as per contractual agreements.
- Participate in Strategic planning and goal setting for the department.
- Research new IT technologies to determine feasibility and impact that meet the needs of the organization according to our quarterly objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for IT maintenance, improvements and upgrades based on our outsourced IT Managed Service Provider recommendations.
- Ensure IT vendors conduct regular audits of computer systems, networks, and other external resources.
- Develop IT Policies and Procedures and cascade to the CMB Group of Companies
- Research potential IT vendor alternatives, propose solutions, and manage contract negotiations.

**CMB TEAM SUPPORT**:

- Be familiar with and follow company policies and procedures as established (Employee Handbook, Finance policies and procedures, etc.).
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and company functions.
- Demonstrate good leadership qualities with a positive attitude and ability to motivate others

**KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE**:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, or similar field
- Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
- 5+ years Project Management Experience, PMP an asset but not required.
- Previous experience at an insurance brokerage or company is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including experience with virtualization, Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Azure environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A collaborator that demonstrates initiative, is resourceful and helpful to others, and who is more concerned with the organization’s success than personal accolades.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
