Precast Detailer

**Job Summary**:
The role of the Precast Detailer will be to work with Tekla Structures to produce precast concrete production drawings following all standards and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Model reinforcing, lifters and bracing members for wall panels, columns and beams according to the engineer’s reinforcing mark-ups and to RIZZ Engineering precast standards.
- Create cast-unit piece tickets according to RIZZ Engineering standards.
- Submit tickets for review to the project engineer and PM for approval.
- Implement comments from the project engineer and PM/checkers and then re-submit for approval or production as needed.
- Create/annotate insulation and/or formliner piece tickets as required. Other duties as assigned.
- Proper management of project files, drawings, documents and project record keeping
- Other duties as required

**Software Requirements**

Full computer setup preloaded with listed programs provided but remains the property of RIZZ Engineering. Recommended working knowledge of the following.
- Office 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Microsoft Teams (Virtual Communication)
- Dropbox
- Unanet (ERP Software)
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- Tekla Structures

**Other Requirements**
- Minimum home Internet speed of 100Mbps down/20Mbps up for working remotely
- Live within 150KM of Kitchener-Waterloo
- Attend mandatory weekly Microsoft Team virtual meetings

**Qualifications**:

- Strong understanding of drafting techniques and principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
