**Position Summary**:
The Service Technician IV performs maintenance and repair, at a highly-skilled level to all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment, vehicles and tools, while using a high degree of independent judgment. Train and mentor less skilled/experienced service technicians.

**Key Responsibilities: (Responsibilities include but are not limited to)**
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintenance and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, gas and diesel systems on all rental equipment, tools, and vehicles, without supervision.
- Perform needed repairs on customer site as required.
- Prepare new equipment for rent.
- Complete all required maintenance and repair service documentation, accurately and on time.
- Accurately order needed parts from vendors as required.
- Train, coach and mentor more junior service technicians, and assign work as required.
- Check out, familiarize and demonstrate equipment, tools, vehicles for customers as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area; adhere to all safety policies & procedures.
- Keep abreast of new methods, systems, technology and resources for the maintenance & repair of equipment, tools, vehicles.
- Maintain product knowledge of all equipment/tools in order to maximize sales to customers.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Training/Certification**:

- Certified Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician
- Class 5 Driver’s License

**Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment, vehicles, tools
- Experience working in a shop as well as in the field
- Experience training, coaching, mentoring other more junior service technicians

**Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)**:

- Advanced knowledge of schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic equipment
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas and diesel systems used in equipment and vehicles
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and DOT requirements relating to the industry
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnostics, and troubleshooting of equipment, vehicles, tools
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including training, coaching and mentoring others
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in use of computers as it relates to job requirements
- Able to travel to and work at customer sites as required
- Must have own tools for the trade

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $32.00-$44.00 per hour
