Dog Bather/ Receptionist

If you enjoy being surrounded by adorable clients (and loud dryers, occasional barks, and lots of dog hair), this is the job for you **Must be okay with getting wet and possibly dirty**

We're looking for one outstanding individual to join our team as a **Bather/Receptionist** at our busy dog grooming salon in Orleans (Ottawa).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Bathing and drying dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Assisting with cleaning and sanitizing (scrubbing kennels, laundry, dusting, vacuuming)
- Answering phone calls _Must be extremely comfortable speaking on the phone and booking appointments_
- Checking clients in and out, using our POS system, and processing payments
- Communicating with the groomers and team to ensure smooth operations
- Extremely comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs
- Highly motivated, reliable, and able to lift 75+ lbs
- Takes direction well and works independently
- Experience in animal care (veterinary medicine, dog training, etc.) is a plus
- High standards for cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service
- Able to excel in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong knowledge of dog breeds and behavior
- Exceptional communication skills and comfort discussing pet needs with their guardians
- Above all, must LOVE dogs

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Orleans, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Receptionist or bathing: 1 year (preferred)
