Canteen Server/bartender

The Canteen Server will be responsible for providing high levels of service to all club patrons by providing prompt service, taking accurate orders, and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all menu items. The Canteen Server will perform service duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times and ensure that the members and their guests have an enjoyable experience. Duties include:
- Take food and beverage orders from members and ensure execution.
- Cook and prepare items like sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs and baked goods.
- Serve alcohol.
- Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with company and provincial standards.
- Serve members in a professional, courteous manner.
- Clean designated areas, in accordance with company procedures, including opening and closing routines and following hygiene requirements.
- Ensure that members transactions and charges are accurate in accordance with club procedures.
- At all times be aware of and practice good member service, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other member.
- Be continually aware of and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress.
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
- Inventory control.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Tips
