Paint Rack Coordinator

Job Summary & Reporting Structure:
- Reporting to the Fabrication Shop Supervisor, the Paint Rack Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the paint racks. They will be responsible for working with production, materials and shipping to meet the required number of racks for production. This role ensures accuracy and tracking for the transition of racks between cleaning, identifying repair, budgetary requirements, and at all times, ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 Quality System and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform inventory of the paint racks each day and track on excel spreadsheet
- Monitor the paint racks, examine dirt levels and build up of paint product on paint racks
- Clean pins on the paint racks, identify if any pins or paint racks are broken and in need of repair
- Work with production supervisors and materials for upcoming production requirements, identifying which racks are needed for production and how many paint racks can be removed from the facility for cleaning
- Track and monitor spending of paint rack cleaning per month and stay within budget
- Tag racks and work with outside vendors to send for cleaning, track date paint racks left and returned to the facility
- Coordinate decommissioning of paint racks at the end of their life cycle, work with shipping and materials for removal and replacement
- Work with Quality to resolve any quality concerns that could be sourced to a paint rack
- Work with outside vendors (cleaning and trucking company)
- Perform fire watch when hot work is being conducted in the facility
- Promote continuous improvement in all areas.
- Other duties as assigned
- ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 duties as required
Qualifications:
**Education Required**
High School Diploma
Technical Diploma in a related field is an asset
**Core Competencies**
Mechanically inclined;
Effective communication skills, verbal, and written.
Computer skills.
**Experience Required**
Manufacturing experience
Automotive experience is an asset
