**Purchasing Clerk - Shipper/Receiver**:
Reporting to the Procurement & Contracts Manager, and utilizing a service excellence approach, this position provides administrative and shipper/receiver services for the Purchasing Department. As the shipper/receiver for the Purchasing Department, this position performs shipping and receiving functions including scheduling deliveries, resolving delivery shortages, and logging incoming and outgoing packages.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provides department administrative services including:

- monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory of department supplies;
- preparing business card requests;
- maintaining toner cartridge inventory and arranging recycler pick-up;
- providing reception services for the department;
- providing clerical work involving spreadsheet and document preparation; and
- maintaining storage area.
- Performs shipping and receiving functions including:

- contacting suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve missed deliveries and other problems;
- logging incoming and outgoing packages;
- preparing courier service documentation;
- routing inter-campus goods; and
- assisting with tracking and tracing goods which have not met service standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Good physical condition-able to lift 20 lbs on a daily basis, several times per day

**Education and Experience**
- High School Graduation
- Completion of a 1- year Business Administration, Office Administration or Purchasing Program
- WHMIS certification
- Minimum 2 years of related experience

**This is a temporary part-time (57%) position commencing as soon as possible, for six months or until the return of the incumbent with the possibility of extension. The salary is Pay Grade 5 - $25.71 per hour in accordance with the PPWC Collective Agreement.
