Auto Body Technician

**Dixon Automotive Group Canada Ltd. is looking for a Body Shop Technician to join our team**
The Dixon Automotive Group is a local family owned and operated company consisting of Kia of Brockville, Smiths Falls Kia, Brockville Nissan, 6 Dixon’s Car & Truck Rental locations and 5 CarStar body shops.
**Position Duties**:
The Body Technician must be able to read and understand the estimate to ensure the parts being utilized mirror match the vehicle parts to be replaced.
Fully dismantle the complete vehicle damaged areas including the blend panel parts in order to identify all hidden damages as early in the repair cycle as possible.
Start repairs, when applicable notify management of major supplements or hidden damages that impact the vehicle progressing ahead.
Maintain a safe and clean environment in which to work that reflects the working conditions of the company.
**Requirements**:
Valid G driver’s licence.
Must have own tools (basic set).
Functional/ technical knowledge of automotive service and collision repair.
Knowledge of Mitchell/ Audatex/ Reynolds & Reynolds.
The strength and stamina required to work with various equipment in cramped or awkward positions.
Mechanical ability and an interest in all types of machinery and engines, electronics and precision equipment.
Ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology.
Ability to execute high-quality work within standard repair times.
Work independently without close supervision.
Work well with others with good communication and a positive work ethic.
Flexible/ adaptable to constant change.
Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative.
Works well under pressure.
**Working Conditions**:
Physical requirements: carrying, lifting (100 lbs), standing, sitting, walking, reaching.
Exposure to the following elements: fumes, dust, chemicals/toxins, hazards, heat/cold, noise.
