As a member of the team, the machinist ensures the accuracy and consistency of the parts they are manufacturing, confirms machined parts are compatible with mating parts, and contributes to the accuracy of drawings. The machinist is responsible for the cleanliness of their workstation while also working together as a team to maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Focus on prototyping
- Expand personal knowledge of our current operations.
- Specifically, be responsible for increasing our prototyping capacity, and decreasing prototyping lead-times.
- Programming prototypes in Gibbs CAM
- Be able to assist operators with trouble-shooting.
- Develop strategies to gain efficiency and productivity
- Contribute to improvements of processes and organizational issues
- Actively participate in the maintenance of a clean working environment, contributing to 5S initiatives.
- Complete all required paperwork with adequate detail.
- Maintain a positive work ethic, supporting other members of the manufacturing team.

**Requirements**:

- Red Seal trade certificate, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years machining experience
- Must be available to work a rotating schedule (we are flexible)

**Considered an Asset**:

- Experience in Gibbs CAM software
- Experience with Brother, Okuma, Nakamura, and Haas
- Experience with 4 and 5 axis mills and Mill/turn machines

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
