Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Carpenter, or a Carpentry Apprentice to join our team. As a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks, including blueprint reading, footings and foundations, framing and back framing, window and door installation, interior finishing. Will also be required to perform heavy lifting, and be proficient with power tools and hand tools.

**Duties**:

- Perform all of the above in accordance with blueprints and specifications
- Install doors, windows, and other fixtures
- Accurately measure and cut materials to the required specifications
- Operate power tools and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Work with other team members and trades on site
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

- Journeyman Carpenter certification
- Proven experience in footings and foundations, rough framing, power tool operation
- Strong knowledge of rough and finishing carpentry techniques and building codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kimberley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
