**SUMMARY**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**These tasks are strictly an outline of essential duties & responsibilities; any other duties may also be assigned when required.**
- Produce concrete products to required specifications.
- Ensure accurate batching of concrete that produces a quality product.
- Verify each load for volume, mix, added products and all other quality information.
- Work with customers, salespeople and operations to optimize delivery and plant utilization.
- Schedule and organize the delivery of ready-mix concrete to jobs sites.
- Order, receive and inspect raw materials to ensure production requirements are met.
- Monitor inventories in the plant (cement, flash, admixtures).
- Have a thorough working knowledge of computer/batching system.
- Define problems, collect data and communicate with management.
- Responsible for pricing and handling walk-in and phone enquiries.
- Perform opening, startup and shutdown of batch plant.
- Interacting regularly with dispatchers, haulers, drivers, customers, operations, production and quality control personnel.
- Perform daily inspection of plant facility.
- Perform routine, preventative, diagnostic and repair maintenance on all plant equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Promotes company safety and environmental policies.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**:

- Minimum 3 years of dispatching experience in the concrete industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication with a proven customer service track record.
- Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong math skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a safety-conscious mindset.
- Familiar with quality control equipment and tools, as well as WCB/Employment Standards/Ministry of Transport regulations.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to learn custom software.

**REQUIRED CERTIFICATES / QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Grade 12 Secondary Education
- Valid driver’s license

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Able to work in an industrial environment that may include dust, heat, loud noise, etc.
- Work overtime as required

**PERFORMANCE REVIEW & OTHER COMMENTS**:

- Three (3) month probationary period.
- Annual performance review

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Agassiz, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- batching: 1 year (preferred)
- concrete: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
