IT Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Manager to lead our IT department and ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. This role plays a vital part in managing our IT systems, optimizing technology resources, and driving innovation to support our business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
1. IT Infrastructure Management:

- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Develop the policies and means to monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential benefits and recommending adoption where appropriate.

2. Systems Administration:

- Monitor system backups and disaster recovery plans, conducting regular tests and updates to ensure business continuity.
- Implement and enforce IT security protocols, including user access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and implement system enhancements and integrations.

3. IT Help Desk and User Support:

- Oversee the IT help desk function, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of user issues and inquiries.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and knowledge base resources to enhance user self-service capabilities.
- Foster a customer-centric approach to IT support, promoting a positive user experience and satisfaction.

4. IT Project Management:

- Design and document IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and develop project plans.
- Assign tasks, coordinate resources, and monitor project progress to ensure successful and timely delivery.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements.

5. IT Policies, Procedures, and Compliance:

- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, such as data protection and cybersecurity, and ensure organizational compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement appropriate controls.
- Educate and train staff on IT policies, cybersecurity awareness, and best practices for technology usage.

Skills and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT management roles, with a focus on infrastructure management and systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and databases.
- Proficiency in system administration, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools to ensure data protection and system security.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and mentor IT staff.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to assess complex technical issues and provide practical solutions.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, or Cisco are a plus.
