**Position Summary**

The WCH Network is looking for a dynamic individual with expertise in perinatal, paediatric, and women’s health care to assume the Regional Quality Experience Leader position. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with passionate leaders, clinicians, and individuals with lived experience within the region as well as stakeholders in other Ontario Health regions to support the Network’s pillars of, 1) Evidence-Based Learning and Growth, 2) Supportive and Inclusive Connections, and 3) Service and Resource Accessibility. The role will support improvements to care through the collaboration with partners on quality improvement, implementation of best practices, and training. The incumbent will provide information and resources to partner organizations, monitoring birthing, women, children, and youth health status, quality, and performance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Be a systems thinker who collaborates with interprofessional colleagues in education development, knowledge translation strategies, and implementation science.
2. Contribute to the promotion of high-quality paediatric, perinatal, and women’s health care by sharing skills and knowledge with colleagues in the region.
3. Co-lead the WCH Network’s education task force and support the aim to provide more education and training opportunities for our region. Task examples include: Development and updating of curriculum such as standardized paediatrics emergency department and obstetrics core competencies, onboarding and orientation, develop plan to offer a regular cadence of core courses (PALS, NRP, FHS) in partnership with course instructors within the region, and other identified needs by Network members.
4. Act as a consultation resource for organization within the assigned regional catchment and recipient hospital sites and community agencies.
5. Work with partner organizations to promote evidence-based care and standards and facilitate access to clinical resources, best practice guidelines, standards of practice or other resources as required to inform learning.
6. Use knowledge grounded in theory, research, and experience to develop, implement and evaluate educational programs and to integrate core clinical concepts into programming.
7. Develop change management and implementation strategies to support change to be imbedded and sustained.
8. Participate on regional, provincial and national committees that serve to complement the program’s activities in the region.
9. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate educational programs offered for partner organizations in central region.
10. Conduct or contribute in developing specialized in-services or education sessions based on practice updates and identified needs.
11. Promote the use of the data generated by the BORN Ontario Database and other data sources as part of educational programs, partner support, projects and initiatives. Appraise data for improvement opportunities.
12. Lead or assist in the coordination of WCH Network core activities (e.g. workshops, committees, site visits, annual forum, etc.).
13. Participate in the development and implementation of clinical research projects and funding proposals.
14. Work collaboratively with the other regional network consultant(s), educators, and quality experience leaders to ensure shared goals and objectives are implemented effectively and efficiently.
15. Prepare updates and contribute to network tables as required.
16. Contribute to the clinical content of Network communications (monthly Network newsletters, semi-annual reports, and other forms including but not limited to website, social media, and digital signage work).
17. Assist Regional Director with annual report development in accordance with the reporting requirements.
18. Determine and align improvement projects with WCH Network Strategic Plan, monitor and adjust to achieve goal outcomes.
