Credit Risk Analyst

**Responsibilities**:
Monitor credit exposure to ensure compliance to Risk Management Policy on a daily basis and investigate and report instances of non-compliance;
Monitor collateral usage rate at ISOs and margin activities on financials products with FCMs;
Update and maintain information in the risk management system related to counterparties and credit limits;
Provide support on the credit due diligence process on the onboarding of new counterparty;
Collaborate with various departments to put in place collateral and enable trading activity;
Participate in group initiatives to improve credit reporting and reporting infrastructure/processes;
Work on ad-hoc analytical requests from senior management and other teams;
Support the Credit Risk team in various other tasks.

**Qualifications**:
Undergraduate degree in finance or another quantitative discipline (e.g. economics, mathematics, physics or engineering); a master's degree and/or financial designation (e.g. CFA, FRM or ERP) is considered an asset;
Previous experience in credit risk would be considered an asset

Experience in the energy industry or other commodity/derivatives market, would be considered an asset.

Technical Competencies

Ability to read financial statements and interpret financial ratio;
Experience in building financial models would be considered an asset;
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, with emphasis on MS Excel; programming skills in VBA, Matlab or Python are considered an asset;
Experience with Databases (run reports, queries, searches, etc.);
Experience with Alteryx, Tableau or other data analytics platform is considered an asset.;
Ability to understand complex rules and regulations.
