**CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Delivery Driver: DZ Class**

An incredible opportunity to bring your customer service expertise to a growing and dynamic company. You will be responsible for the delivery of products over established routes while providing the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities will include making deliveries, keeping delivery records, accepting payment for goods, and ensuring overall vehicle safety. The Delivery Driver will be expected to operate the delivery vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the road, and follow all appropriate company policies and procedures.

**Location**: Mississauga, ON

**Reporting to**: Transportation Manager

**Day Shift**: 6am onwards

**Role Specific Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Operate and drive straight trucks and light trucks to pick up and deliver various product including ice cream.
- Responsible for loading, unloading and picking product manually in -20 Celsius temperatures.
- Rotating and merchandising products as per planograms within various size freezers while maintaining a sense of urgency to ensure product standard.
- Responsible for unloading returned product and loading into walk-in-freezer with standard labelling.
- Deliver products over established routes.
- Deliver products into customers’ locations as required (may include delivering up/down stairwells at some locations).
- Ensure correct loading of vehicle and maintaining vehicle condition as per standard.
- Inspect the order at time of delivery to ensure all products invoiced are present.
- Pick up returns, empty crates and pallets to be returned to the warehouse.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road.
- Complete drivers end of day check-in with the warehouse coordinator to ensure all invoices are signed, all returns are processed by a receiver and all collected at the customers are accounted for.
- Communicate with central dispatch, order desk and other departments as needed.
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Educational /Technical Experience**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid DZ License and Clean abstract and CVOR
- **MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE an Automatic TRUCK.**

**MUST have 2 years of driving experience**

**MUST PROVIDE LETTER OF EXPERIENCE**
- Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise exceeding 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be flexible to work various shifts including days, afternoons, weekends and holidays as required.
- Must be able to operate a walkie, handjack and dollies.
- Excellent organization, communication and customer service skills.
- Good command of the English language, written & verbal.
- Must be able to perform simple math and operate computerized device.

**Skill and Knowledge Requirements**:

- Working knowledge of safe lifting methods.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. will be required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
