We’re currently looking for a Freelance Video Editor to join our Social team, specifically creating and editing content for our **Facebook, Tiktok and Instagram** channels. A freelance entry-level editing position, you will be reporting to the Social Media Manager and the VP of Marketing. The Freelance Video Editor’s primary responsibility will be to edit and transform WatchMojo videos so they are optimized for their specific platforms. This includes editing and exporting projects in different aspect ratios like 16:9 and 9:16, so experience with TikTok and InstagraM/Facebook Reels is coveted.

Applicants must possess adequate editing skills in FCPX. Knowledge of after effects, graphics and Photoshop is a bonus.

**Responsibilities**
- Edit vertical videos for WatchMojo & MsMojo’s social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels)
- Create high-quality content efficiently and independently

**Required Qualifications**
- Ability to create vertical video edits using Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro
- Ability to create custom text, graphics and overlays either within the editing program or on Photoshop/Illustrator
- Solid understanding of social media trends, memes, references and vernacular
- Strong knowledge of pop culture properties (movies, tv shows, music, etc.) frequently featured on WatchMojo and MsMojo such as Marvel, DC, Disney, Teen Dramas, 2000s Nostalgia and trending streaming service titles.

**Extra (Not necessary, but a huge plus)**
- Basic knowledge of After Effects
- Experience creating content for TikTok
- Ability to inject humor into edits
- Interest in appearing on-camera
- Voice Over capabilities
