Conditions of Employment:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with the ability to travel on government business within the Province of Manitoba
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays

Qualifications:
Essential:

- Post secondary degree in social sciences (preferably BSW)
- Case Management Experience (including counselling, performing assessments, planning, risk assessment, crisis/protective services and service coordination) in a social service setting. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered at a commensurate or underfill classification and salary level
- Experience in crisis management and assessment of high risk situations/supports required
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to establish working relationships with
- community partners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a complex work environment with high volume caseloads and competing demands
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Effective written communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations and training modules to community partners

Desired:

- Knowledge of the Vulnerable Persons Living with a Mental Disability Act
- Knowledge of interview practices with Vulnerable Persons (Children, Adults with Intellectual Disabilities, Seniors)
