Route Technician

Georgian Bay Fire & Safety Ltd., a Fire Safety and Protection, LLC, company, is one of the largest independent Life Safety & Property Protection companies in Canada. We are seeking additional members for our growing team. Our Fire Alarm, Security, Sprinkler, and Electrical professionals are protecting people and property every day. **Responsibilities**:

- Inspects, repairs, and tests fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment, and monitoring devices.
- Dismantles extinguishers and examines mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replaces worn or damaged parts.
- Cleans extinguishers and recharges them with approved materials.
- Inspects, tests, and repairs systems such as smoke detectors, sprinklers, pull systems, emergency lights, fire hoses, and other fire and security equipment.
- Maintains fire extinguishers property wide in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in fire extinguisher service & inspection preferred.
- Valid moter vehicle Driver's License required (Class 5) with annual abstract to maintain eligibility.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds periodically on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of and/or skilled in the inspection, repair, maintenance, and testing techniques for fire safety equipment and systems.
