Forman

**HPA Civil Construction Ltd. **is looking for an experienced Civil Foreman. The Foreman will be responsible for day-to-day activities on civil construction sites. The foreman will be responsible to ensure tasks are completed as per municipal drawings, engineering drawings, and instructions.

HPA Civil Construction performs civil works services ranging from Sanitary Sewer Installation, Storm Sewers Installation, Franchise Utilities Installation, Street-lighting, Roadworks, and Site Preparation.

**Duties**:

- Ability to organize civil works projects conduct an coordinate sanitary main installation, storm sewers, sidewalks, curbs, streetlights, and Franchise Utilities.
- Friendly, professional, well-presented, and clear communicator.
- Able to handle pressure and coordination of several tasks at once.
- Problem solver.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Must have more than 8 years in Experience relative to Sanitary Sewer Installation, Storm Sewers Installation and roadwork.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors.
- Be safety orientated, self-motivated and work well with others.
- Ensure labours, equipment, materials, and sub-contractors are on-site when necessary, in order to perform the work.
- Notify the project manager when issues arise such as a conflict in the drawings, extra work may be performed, or changing/unforeseen conditions are revealed.
- Ensure that the construction crews or sub-contractors perform work in accordance to contract drawings and specifications.
- Ensure materials, equipment and labours are utilized most efficiently and effectively.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly safety meetings and inspections.
- Make sure that work sites are cleaned and cleared of any hazardous materials prior to the beginning of a construction project.
- Class 5 or 7 Drive License Required. Must arrange ride to and from work

**Salary**: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

- Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- 5 years of Forman (required)
- 5 years of Construction (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Red Seal (preferred)
