Animal Care Attendant

Shadowbrook Kennels is a family-owned boarding kennel for dogs, cats and small animals. We are looking for energetic, compassionate, and dependable individuals to join our team as Animal Care Attendants.

**Job Summary**:
The Animal Care Attendant is responsible for the care and enrichment of the animals in our facility. This includes but is not limited to:

- Feed and water the animals
- Bathing dogs
- Cleaning indoor and outdoor living areas / runs
- Dog walking and playtime in our secure enrichment area
- Assisting with housekeeping duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned.

Typical shifts are approximately 8am to 12 noon.

**Experience**:

- Animal experience required
- even if it is only that you have or have had pets.
- Animal care/training not necessarily required as we can train you.
- Flexible schedule to include mornings ( weekdays, weekends and holidays) and possibly the odd evening shift.
- Must be comfortable working with animals of all sizes and breeds. (Dog's, Cat's, Rabbit's, Pigs, etc...)
- Must be physically able to walk and handle dogs of all sizes, including large dogs that pull on their leashes.
- Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-28 per week

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Binbrook, ON L0R 1C0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
