**The successful applicant will be an experienced, enthusiastic educator with demonstrated leadership qualities and will have**:

- A minimum of five years successful teaching experience.
- An understanding of the leadership role in educational change.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to support the use of differentiated instruction and a multi-tier system of supports.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the use of assessment literacy, and how it connects to student success.
- Understanding of First Peoples Principles of Learning and proven ability to work with Indigenous students and families.
- Ability to engage teachers in data collection, analysis and dialogue about student learning and instruction.
- Ability to model and support continuous inquiry and professional learning for self and others.
- A demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team setting.
- A demonstrated desire to work with students beyond the classroom setting.
- Knowledge and desire to implement District and Provincial educational goals.
- Ability to work in a unionized environment.
- Membership in accordance with the BC Teacher Regulation Branch.

**Qualifications**:

- A Master’s Degree in Administration; Education Leadership; Curriculum; or other relevant areas.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
- A valid BC teaching certificate or eligibility for certification with the BC Teacher Regulation Branch.
- Experience leading programs and initiatives at the school and-or the District level.
- Experience in fostering inclusive education.
- Experience incorporating Indigenous Education and Inclusion environments.
- Experience leading and teaching in a unionized public-school setting using the BC curriculum.
