THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a **Part Time Cashier** passionate about customer service and great local food to join our Front-End Team Previous experience in a cash-handling retail environment is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude.
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customer needs.
- Connect with our customers through great local food.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Efficiently process cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Bag customer purchases with care.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks.
- Attend to the cleaning and replenishing of the floral area near the till line.
- Remain aware of store products, changes, and seasonal requirements.
- Work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Our family-owned market operates with a local focus, always buying from as close to home as possible to provide the communities of Victoria with the same.

We are more than your average grocery store, and it is our aim for our team’s experience here to be anything but average too. We’re a family business, and we’re selective about who joins us. Our bottom line is that we care a lotabout the products we offer, our customers, and our Root Cellar family. You can feel the care put into action when you step through our doors, Team Members and Customers alike.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- A flair for organization and order in your surroundings.
- The physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, work in a relaxed environment, and lift 25-50 pounds.
- Open availability and a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Part Time Availability: Afternoon/evening and weekends. Available at least one day per weekend and mid-afternoon to evenings (3pm or 4pm onward) on weekdays.
