Fish Technician

**Job Summary**
**Duties**:
- Daily care of fish in both our hatchery and grow-out plant
- Daily paperwork and data recording of plant activities.
- Checking oxygen levels, water quality, checking system functionality and responding to power outages.
- Training for emergency response.
- Basic maintenance to ensure operability of the plant.
- Harvesting and sorting fish for market as well as moving fish within the plant.
- Plant clean-up and hygiene.
- The shift runs on a 5 on 5 off schedule from 8am to 4:30pm. Shift will cover from Tuesday to Saturday each week.
- Driving company truck for fish deliveries and feed pick-up.
**Requirements**:
- Reliable transport to plant site.
- Ability to drive company truck on required tasks.
- Comfortable working alone on weekends.
- Able to respond to emergencies and communicate clearly (written and verbal).
- Previous experience with pumps and basic electrical knowledge is an asset.
- Previous aquaculture experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Training in biology or aquaculture is highly desirable.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
