**Description**:
NLC's Career and College Preparation program requires a temporary instructor to deliver **MATH 040. **This program may be delivered from either or Dawson Creek or Fort St John campus.

As an equivalent to Principles of Math 11 and Pre-Calculus 11, this course satisfies the requirements for Grade 11 mathematics. **MATH 040** is designed to meet the entrance requirements for further academic, career, or technical training. Topics include basic algebraic review; linear equations and inequalities; graphing, relations, and functions; polynomials and polynomial functions; rational expressions and equations; radical expressions and equations; quadratic equations; and trigonometry.** MATH 040** is recommended for students requiring Grade 11 math for academic post-secondary studies.

Classes will take place from July 4th until August 28th, Monday - Friday from 2:45pm - 4:10pm daily. Time is provided prior to the start date of classes in order to prepare.

**Qualifications:
Required:

- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field;
- Demonstrable ability to instruct at the high school level;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Committed to student motivation and achievement;
- Collaborate as an effective team member; and
- Current, valid driver's license.

Preferred:

- Master's Degree in a relevant field;
- Instructional experience at the secondary or post-secondary levels, including online delivery; and
- A credential in adult education (e.g., the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program)
