**Responsibilities**:
- Review blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications
- Calculate the amount and type of materials needed for the project
- Prepare layouts using measuring tools, ensuring they meet building codes
- Cut, shape, and join materials to build foundations, walls, roofs, and other structures Install doors, stairs, molding, and hardware
- Supervise and mentor apprentices and other construction workers
- Lead carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and within budget
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Keep the workspace clean and organized
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman certification in carpentry
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
