**Job description**
We are looking for a highly technical individual to join our team as an IT Technician to support work in our Cambridge, Ontario office. The IT Technician is an integral part of our team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software failures on rugged Tablets, PDA’s, Panel PCs and computers, quality assurance checks on incoming hardware and to help manage the internal office IT infrastructure.
**Duties and responsibilities include**:
- Perform troubleshooting to determine and resolve the root cause of most hardware or software malfunctions.
- Provide customers and internal team with pre and post sales technical support.
- Perform hardware warranty and non-warranty repairs.
- Perform complex hardware and/or software upgrades.
- Perform imaging and re-imaging of operating systems.
- Ensure all work is adequately documented.
- Consult with internal technical teams regarding recurring software, hardware, and user-related incidents.
- QA checks on incoming inventory
- Proactive network and server monitoring/troubleshooting.
**Qualifications**:
- College or university degree in computer related field, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proven troubleshooting and technical support skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong work ethic.
- Strong English communication skills both written and verbal. Mandarin/French language skills are an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of computers, Windows and Android OS
- General knowledge of network management.
- General knowledge of LAN, WAN and cellular networks.
- Ability to use innovative methods to provide outstanding service in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical details to end users.
- Superior time management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to make decisions and work on your own.
- Team player able to work under pressure.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
