**Role and Facility Information**:
Vancouver Community Mental Health Services is currently looking for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care to clients and families in our Child and Youth Mental Health programs. The psychiatrist who accepts this position will provide psychiatric care as part of a multi-disciplinary team that supports a culturally diverse population of children and youth in Vancouver, BC.
We seek a psychiatrist who can provide accessible assessments and time-limited follow up for clients. A physician interested in this position should be prepared to work with a diverse population from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. They should be aware of cultural issues that often arise with in working with children, youth and families in urban Canada.
The psychiatrist will be involved in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs. There are additional opportunities to supervise learners and to participate in research. Time and scheduling are negotiable within program hours.
Qualifications:

- A Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Specialist qualifications in psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Subspecialty qualification in child and adolescent psychiatry is preferred.
- Documented experience working with children, youth and families is required.
- Eligibility for faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine is ideal.
- A demonstrated ability working as a member of an inter-professional health care team.
- Experience in community-based psychiatric care
- A commitment to participate in new methods in health improvement and care delivery, including shared care.

Reporting Relationship:
The psychiatrist will report through the Medical Director of the Mental Health and Substance Use Program for Vancouver Community Senior Medical Director.

- Compensation Type- Combination- Estimated Remuneration- Based on a blended billing model (Sessional and Fee-for-service). The psychiatrist is responsible for their own billings.- Physician Overhead- Not applicable- Billing Split- MSP billings and APP sessional**Benefits and Incentives**:
