A typical employment season with Blue Jay is March - December with a company top up of EI (Supplemental Benefit Program) during the winter months. **(That's right You have the winter off but still get paid).**

As a Junior Irrigation Technician at Blue Jay Irrigation - Blue Mountain Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems for both residential and commercial properties in Collingwood and the surrounding areas.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
Working with an experienced Service Technician, you will be installing and servicing irrigation systems on residential and commercial properties.

**Installation and Servicing**
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure the efficient operation of systems on client properties, meeting and exceeding quality standards.

**Team Collaboration**
- Maintain clear and open communication with the team to facilitate a seamless customer experience.
- Uphold our commitment to quality and workmanship through effective teamwork.

**Using our scheduling software, Service Titan**
- Utilize Service Titan software efficiently for clear and concise notetaking.
- Track inventory and hours accurately to enhance workflow and productivity.

**Qualifications**
- Demonstrate the ability to follow directions and collaborate effectively within the team.
- Must have the ability to take initiative, and think critically, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must posses excellent verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to speak with property owners with curtesy and respect.
- Experience working outside for long periods of time, as well as experience with, and capable of physical labour.
- Exhibit a full range of body movements, including reaching, crouching, and hand dexterity.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

**Working Conditions**:

- 10-hour days/ 50-hours a week. Extended schedules may be necessary at times.
- Working outdoors in the elements.
- Tasks may require sitting, squatting, kneeling, standing, walking, or digging for extended periods.
- Extensive travel is required; however, a service vehicle will be provided.
