**Job Summary**:
As a **Quality Control Specialist**, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. You will work closely with production teams to maintain consistent quality and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, CFIA, and other relevant standards.
- Monitor and document quality control processes, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve processes and resolve quality-related issues.
- Perform laboratory testing of food products, including sensory evaluations and microbial testing.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Assist in training employees on quality control procedures and food safety standards.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance reports, recommending solutions for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, emerging food safety trends, and best practices.
- Support the development and implementation of new quality assurance programs and policies.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and CFIA requirements.
- Experience conducting internal audits and working with regulatory agencies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
