**Position**: Outfitter - Canoe and Check-in Crew
**Dates**:June, July, August with training for approximately 4 days training in May
**Organization**: Voyageur Outfitting
**Location**:Algonquin Park (Access pt #1, Algonquin Park, East of South River, Ontario with on-site accommodations)

Voyageur Quest is a wilderness tour company that specializes in Algonquin Park. Our facilities - the Algonquin Log Cabin, the Algonquin Cottages and Outpost, Islands, and Voyageur Outfitter are all located at Algonquin Park’s northwest corner at Access Pt #1.

**Outfitter - Canoe and Check-in Crew**

As Canoe and Check-in Crew you will be responsible for assisting customers in setting up their canoe and gear rental needs at our outfitter.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Client-facing payment and booking processing
- Canoe and gear rentals
- Outfitter store purchases
- Inventory management
- Cabin check-ins
- Ongoing communications with the office and guides
- Store and site upkeep
- Canoe route assistance
- Occasional Sunrise starts breakfast meal preparations
- Possible shuttles

**Applicants should have the following**:

- Retail and office experience
- A love for the outdoors
- Enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to follow daily task lists effectively
- Effective time management
- Ability to lift and load canoes
- Ability to demonstrate best practices of canoe launch and paddling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Canoe tripping experience
- G driver license
- working knowledge of Gmail and ability to learn database entry
- Multitasking skills

**Additional assets include**:

- Ability to repair canoe and gear
- Ability to drive a trailer

**Contract Available**:
Training - May approx 4 days dates tbd
Season - June 1 - mid-October, 2024 and June 1- Sept 5, 2024

**Compensation**:approx $175-200 per day (commensurate with experience)

**Other**:Includes shared lakeside seasonal guide accommodation and cooking facilities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 4-5 months

**Salary**: $175.00-$200.00 per day

Supplemental pay types:
