BIM Specialist
Reports directly to the BIM Lead on all matters, regarding the assigned and design issue. The BIM Specialist shall ensure to meet all schedules in a timely manner. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Education
- Minimum 2+ years of Revit experience

Working Conditions
- Site visits required having PPE for all site work and in certain other locations;
- At times requires driving to visit sites; and
- Flexible to work overtime as required

Required Level
- Intermediate level position for incumbents wishing to pursue a career in any area of the Design/Engineering Department;
- Detail oriented with the ability to read architectural, mechanical, structural and slab edge drawings;
- Knowledgeable in Autodesk Inventor & Upchain is an asset;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Attention to detail and accuracy is required;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload;
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Demonstrate State's core values and work in a team environment.

Job Specific Duties
- Utilize Revit to develop Revit models;
- Utilize Inventor to create detailed panel/parts to support Revit models;
- Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of accurate drafting methods, layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports, and scaling;
- Ability to create families and manipulation of parameters and schedules;
- Ability to import different models from different trades/division to perform collision checks;
- Update models to reflect site conditions/As-built conditions;
- Create content for new systems and modification to existing systems within the library;
- Assist and support projects in the production of models including creation, management of Building Information Models (BIM) and 2D drawings (if required);
- Working closely with Revit/Inventor Modelers, who are responsible for producing product/project specific information models;
- Review drawings/models of other teams to ensure the latest information is updated with the parent model;
- Participating in technical meetings to resolve project related tasks/issues;
- Ability to create Revit work sets and understanding of Revit work sharing process;
- Work with PLM system to ensure data and workflow process is followed as per Company standard;
- Create BOM out of Revit configurator tool and adjust parameters to introduce new systems; and
- Any other tasks assigned by the BIM Lead.
