**Location**: Quesnel, BC. Work from home. Significant community engagement required.
**About the Program**:
YMCA is the host agency for Foundry Quesnel, an initiative announced in March 2024. Foundry is a provincial network of integrated and innovative wellness centres for young people 12-24 and their families. Foundry services include mental health care, substance use services, physical and sexual health care, youth and family peer supports, and social services.
**Responsibilities of this role**:
- Identify and engage diverse stakeholders including community resources, health authority and government services, Indigenous communities, youth, and families
- Learn about community strengths, needs, and gaps in relation to youth and family wellness and map assets
- Establish strong reciprocal partnerships and build a partnership table to guide development of Foundry Fort St. John
- Ensure meaningful engagement, integration of Indigenous perspectives, and inclusion of equity-denied voices
- Lay foundation and further development of Foundry Fort St. John until operational (2-3 years)
- Support identification and pursuit of opportunities for capital and operational funds
**Qualifications**:
- Degree or advanced training in a relevant field
- Well-developed community engagement skills
- Understanding of the impact of colonization and residential schools on Indigenous peoples
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Deep investment in Fort St. John and knowledge of related community resources and systems
- Three professional references and clear Criminal Record Check
