Terms of Employment: This is a full-time, permanent position

Travel Requirements: Travel will be required to Aecon’s sites throughout Canada

Language: Must speak, read, and write in English

**Key Responsibilities**
- Promote, lead and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors and consultants in compliance with WECC’ Environmental Health and Safety Program and provincial occupational health and safety legislation.
- Promote safety in all activities and engage in safe work plan development, hazard assessments, FLRAs and mentorship with crew.
- Provide guidance to team members by leading safety meetings and inspections.
- Track and report project, quality control, resource requirements and customer or employee relations to the Deputy Tunnel Manager.
- Oversee multiple tasks and ensure compliance with all assignments, project policies and procedures.
- Drive quality, efficiency and productivity of work crews.
- Follow project plans and budget.
- Understand the scope and sequencing of work, support Foreman to plan and prioritize the work, effectively redirect crews and equipment to assigned tasks and minimize downtime on sites.
- Contribute to the development of a construction plan.
- Work with the Deputy Tunnel Manager/ Construction Manager to identify equipment and labour resource requirements.
- Work with the Deputy Tunnel Manager/ Construction Manager and Leads to periodically reassess daily goals to ensure tunnel equipment is in good standing condition to meet forecasted production, schedules, and budgets.
- Support an inclusive employee relationship culture and is accountable for adherence to policies that ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.
- Build and maintain a strong functional team through instruction, training, coaching and team building.
- Oversee the approval of daily production records and reporting on work progress, these include:

- Daily quality control inspections and checklists.
- Record and report of violations or disciplinary actions.
- HSE inspections and reports.
- Review Foreman records and track all rental and owned equipment, ensure returns are completed and documented.
- Ensure equipment maintenance programs are tracked and recorded.
- Project specific forms/inspections/tracking as required.
- Document reporting of and maintaining in good repair all company owned and rented tools, equipment, and assets.
- Manage Foremen and hold them accountable for their responsibilities.

**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- 2-3 years of experience in tunneling in TBM and SEM
- 2-3 years of experience of TBM/ SEM equipment maintenance
- 2-3 years’ experience in tunnelling management
- 2-3 years’ experience overseeing and supporting tunnelling construction projects including but not limited to subways, water collector tunnels, airports and highways
- Thorough knowledge of the applicable OH&S legislation.
- Exceptional ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must Maintain a valid G Drivers License.
- Ability to work night shifts and occasional weekends as required.

**Compensation and Benefits**
- $150,000 to $175,000 annually
- Work 37.5 hours/week
