**Role and Responsibilities**

Oversee and Lead YAK Youth Services’ Perth Youth Centre.

YAK Youth Services offers assistance to local youth focused on building opportunities, support, resources, information, training and encouragement. The Youth Centre Program Coordinator is responsible for the successful leadership and management of YAK Youth Services (YYS) youth centre programs set out by the Executive Director.

**Primary Duties**
- Develop, promote, and implement youth centre programs
- Provide guidance and support and foster effective teamwork between all youth centre staff, and maintain effective communication with both the team and the Executive Director
- Ensure a safe, healthy, positive, and inclusive environment for youth, staff, parents and volunteers
- Represent the Perth Youth Centre and promote programs and services
- Ensure a high quality of service is provided to youth participants and their families
- Provide community outreach and engagement
- Produce reports and survey participants

Operational
- Develop an operational work plan which incorporates program goals and objectives
- Manage the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the Youth Centre
- Keep and maintain youth registrants’ files, parent information, incidents in our CMS
- Track weekly attendance and activities and send report to Executive Director monthly
- Ensure effective systems to track progress to regularly assess programs in the youth centre

Promotion and Management
- Schedule and provide supervision to youth, staff, and volunteers pursuant to YAK’s Policy and Procedures
- Promote all youth centre activities via social media (ie. facebook, Instagram, tik tok, snap chat), create newsletters, write articles for local newspapers, conduct radio and/or TV interviews, table at local high schools, festivals, farmer’s markets, etc. Human Resources
- Ensure human resources policies, procedures, and practices are followed
- Ensure that all staff receive an orientation to the organization
- Listen to and address staff, volunteer and student concerns in conjunction with the Executive Director

Financial Assistance
- Assist with fundraising efforts
- Keep records of expenses
- Update program budgets monthly
- Explore and develop opportunities for revenue generating programs

Reporting and Evaluation
- Prepare and submit:

- tracking reports monthly
- incident reports within 24 hrs of incident
- attendance records daily
- expense forms monthly
- satisfaction survey results bi-annually
- program evaluation annually
- Lead internal program evaluation activities such as participant pre and post program satisfaction surveys

**Other Duties**
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various software
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with youth, their parents, partner organizations and other stakeholders.
- Standard First Aid
- Food Safe

**Preferred Skills & Certifications**
- Experience with social media management and content creation
- Knowledge of local youth programs and best practices
- ASIST
- Trauma Informed Care
- Mental Health First Aid

**Salary**: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
