**Position: Custom Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist**

**Location**: Bronte St N / Industrial Dr

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Shift**: Day shift (7:30am-4:00pm), with overtime opportunities

**Pay**: From $31.00 per hour, based on experience

**Description**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custom Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist to join our team. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Setup and fixture jobs on Horizontal Boring Mills
- Edit programs and set tool parameters
- Select and set up tools, and perform blueprint reading
- Use measuring instruments for precision work
- Operate overhead cranes to safely lift and maneuver large work pieces
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with sound judgment

**Equipment**:

- Horizontal Boring Mills with up to 5 meters of machine travel
- Rotary B-Axis - Toshiba with Tosnuc controls
- Tos Varnsdorf with Heidenhein controls
- Overhead cranes up to 20 tons

**Required Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years related experience in machining
- Proven skills in setup, programming, and tool management
- Operating knowledge of Horizontal Boring Mills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Machinist or equivalent experience

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- CNC programming and setup abilities (asset)
- Knowledge of Mastercam and GD&T (assets)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

**Schedule**:

- Day shift

**Work Location**: In person

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $31.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Experience**:
