**Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact**
The Project Planner and Scheduler will support Project Managers in project planning work and the preparation of schedules. Update, monitor and analyze specified areas of schedule performance. Identify performance variances regarding actual versus planned results. Follow planning procedures and good planning practices. Participate in developing department specific procedures, instructions, guidelines that facilitate the two-way flow of schedule information.
**Key Activities will include, but are not limited to**:
- Produce comprehensive schedules in various formats and level of details to suit a variety of users/audiences.
- Using project software such as P6 Primavera (P6) assist in the project planning, monitoring and control.
- Work harmoniously as a team with Management, Project Managers, and Contractors in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules.
- Ensure the quality and validity of project schedules.
- Comply with an established Change Control Process and ensure that any schedule/deliverable changes to the baseline are warranted.
- Develop and maintain models related to schedule performance.
- Forecast the impacts on schedule for proposed changes.
- Forecast resourcing based on project schedules.
- Archive successful schedules as templates for estimating future similar projects.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work and prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for control and integrity.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor schedules consisting of but not limited to critical path, costs, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), schedule content, relationships and logic ties, constraints, milestones, and codes.
- Maintain the health of the portfolio by identifying and correcting discrepancies between the various reporting tools.
- Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures, and systems.
- Other duties as required.
**What You Need to Succeed**
- A college degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Proficient in project scheduling, planning, including estimating using P6 Primavera.
- Familiarity with MS Project.
- Good familiarity with nuclear project/industry/technology and understanding of work programs and projects.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
- PMP certification is an asset.
