**Position Description**:
Be part of a dynamic team of technical engineers and solutions architects servicing a prominent insurance sector client located in the Don Mills area of Toronto. The team will be client-centric and will serve as the front door to assess, solution and deploy both data center and cloud based solutions with two of the largest public cloud providers. The team will also be responsible ensuring the ongoing health of the IT platforms and continuous service improvements.

**Your future duties and responsibilities**:

- Deploy, support and maintain critical infrastructure platforms both on-premise and in the public cloud
- Responsible for the overall health of the platforms including, production issues, troubleshooting, monitoring, and backup
- Drive automation and standardization across the platforms
- Automate infrastructure deployments using infrastructure as code, configuration management tools, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines
- Monitoring system metrics and observability tools to ensure that systems are always healthy
- Managing platform governance and security
- Participate in 24x7 support
- Hybrid position

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role**:

- Essential
- Language: Excellent communication skills in English, speaking and writing
- Education: IT diploma in the relevant field
- Experience: 5 years hands on local automation / terraform / python scripting experience
with onsite automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure as code tools ( Terraform Preferred )
- Experience with Configuration management tools ( Ansible Preferred )
- Experience with Version control systems ( Git Preferred )
- Experience with Public Cloud providers ( Azure Preferred )
- Experience with Containers and container orchestration
- Knowledge and experience with scripting/programming languages - At least one of: Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go
- Experience with CI/CD tools ( Azure Devops preferred )
- Knowledge of network and security concepts, and best practices
- Strong proficiency with linux command line and shell scripting
- Experience automating manual processes for on-premise and cloud infrastructure
- Desired
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering concepts
- Knowledge of API Architecture and experience building API’s
- Knowledge of software development best practices

- Knowledge and experiencing managing virtualization environment ( VMware, AHV )
- Knowledge and experience managing Hyper Converged Infrastructure ( HCI )
- Knowledge and experience managing Cisco data center network switches
- Knowledge and experience with network load balancer technologies
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge and experience with Windows, and Linux operating systems
