**Job Summary**
The Meat Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the meat department, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of food preparation, meat cutting techniques, and food safety regulations. The Meat Manager will lead a team of butchers and meat clerks, manage inventory, and maintain an inviting environment for customers while promoting the department's products.

**Duties**
- Supervise and train staff in meat cutting, packaging, and food handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the meat department.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and conducting regular stock checks.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Prepare various meat products according to company standards and customer preferences.
- Develop promotional displays to highlight special offers and new products.
- Monitor product quality to ensure freshness and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the store.

**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and knowledgeable about food safety practices.
- Strong meat cutting skills with experience in a butcher or kitchen environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with packaging processes for various meat products.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and staff schedules.
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices related to meat products.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry who are looking to take on a leadership role within a dynamic team. MUST have meat cutting experience

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
