**Position Summary**

The Research Associate interacts frequently with both internal and external contacts of various disciplines and levels of expertise. Principal responsibilities include two major studies where the focus is knowledge translation (implementation science). The Research Associate should be very familiar with both studies and be prepared to help where required with quantitative data analysis, literature reviews & synthesis, qualitative interviews and qualitative analysis, and protocol development. Other smaller tasks for other studies may be requested. There is opportunity to work with several other stakeholders in both projects (physicians, epidemiologists, clinical fellows, etc).

**Duties**

The Research Associate is responsible for the following related to two primary implementation studies:
Breast Cancer Screening Implementation Study:

- Familiarity with protocol
- Literature searches related to implementation tools
- Roundtable meeting minutes and Delphi analyses
- Protocol development and REB submission for a pilot implementation study (mixed methods study)
- Performing certain aspects of mixed methods study once started

Cardio-Oncology Implementation Study:

- Familiarity with protocol
- Participant Interviews and qualitative data coding and analysis
- Final project analysis and write-up

Otherwise, the research associate may help with preparing project budgets, scientific progress reports, and materials for presentation. The Research Associate may undertake study-related administrative tasks such as organizing meetings, taking minutes, obtaining signatures, and helping to prepare submissions to and track approvals from the Research Ethics Board.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree program related to health science preferred; asset with graduate experience in a research-related program
- 1 to 2 years clinical and/or professional experience
- Demonstrated relevant clinical research knowledge; experience in oncology considered an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
- In-depth experience with qualitative research studies (qualitative methods, interviews, coding, Nvivo)
- Excellent literature review searching capabilities
- Able to work with both quantitative and qualitative data (and awareness of mixed methods)
- Research presentation skills (graphs, charts, tables) etc. to display research data
- Detail oriented with respect to quality and accuracy
- Capable of working independently, while being a collaborative member of the team
- Strong interpersonal skills and conducts themselves in a professional manner
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
