**Job Description**:
What you’ll be doing

The Consultant, Design Standards will help develop and maintain our workplace design standards with the goal of creating a consistent, identifiable, safe and healthy workplace as well as bring innovation to our workplace strategies. You will be providing graphics, CAD support, workplace-related data reviews to analyze and interpret information, and written communications to help communicate/represent ideas and design standards.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed
- Research and Subject Matter Expertise - Review existing CIBC standards and assess viability of existing kit of parts. Support design changes from concept to implementation to ensure smooth transition to new designs and strategies.
- Design Standards Communication - You will support in the communication of design standards to stakeholders including relationship managers, project managers, suppliers, and external vendors. Write and send out communications including newsletters, bulletins, meeting invites, updating guides, etc. Maintaining the groups SharePoint site, providing graphics support, and organizing and maintaining the graphic library, digital media library, and design resources used in communications.
- Graphics and Drafting Design - Using design software, you will draw diagrams,, make mathematical calculations and suggest specific materials and details for designs. Interpret design/marketing/branding concepts by preparing drawings, plans, and relevant documents to communicate design intent. Provide test-fit/pre-design drawings, by hand or by using CAD/3D software, with the CIBC workplace standards and technical details appropriately included. Create or convert pictures and drawings into digital images and manipulate images using computer graphics software to communicate ideas.

- You can demonstrate 5+ years of experience in interior design, graphics design, or architecture and a Bachelors degree or equivalent in a design related program.
