**What you will do**
- Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail environment while providing customer service to clients, patrons and customers
- Wear plain clothes to work undercover, discreetly blending in with shoppers
- Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage
- Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise
- Escort trespassers out of the client premises
- Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise
- Complete required documentation for security incidents such as theft and violations
- Escalate situation to law enforcement as required
- Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner
- A Valid Security License is required
- Advanced Security Training - authorization to carry handcuffs is required
- A keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting
- Previous security experience in a retail environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
- Ability to work without close supervision

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.50 per hour

- Maple Ridge, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
