This position offers the opportunity to advise the Canada Branch on a wide variety of Wholesale and Rural transactions and assist Branch management on a variety of governance and regulatory matters.

**_ You and Your Job_**

As Head of Legal, Canada Branch you will have significant in house and law firm experience as a commercial and rural lending counsel.

You will be responsible for reviewing wholesale and rural transactions within the context of bank policies and procedures and be a trusted advisor to management and the US based North America Legal team relative to Canadian legal matters.

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparing, reviewing, negotiating and processing legal documentation for transactional and non-transactional matters
- Providing advice on legal matters related to transactional matters, including the structuring of loan facilities and the taking of security
- Developing, maintaining and providing training on certain legal policies and procedures
- Providing regulatory guidance and governance support for the Rabobank Canada Branch and Rabo Securities Canada, Inc.
- Assisting with Canadian employment laws
- Where applicable, providing legal support to the workout/restructure leads in Wholesale and Rural relating to Rabobank Canada Branch loans
- Other duties as assigned.

- 15+ years of a mix of law firm and in house commercial lending experience
- Canadian law degree and ability to practice law in Toronto, ON
- Ability to travel regionally, up to 15%

**Salary Expectations**:
**Target Hiring Range: CAD $240,000.00 - $290,000.00**
