Battery House is a locally owned and operated business, operating in Moncton NB for over 22 years. We service the Greater Moncton and surrounding area.

We require a Part time (18 to 22 hours) Retail Parts Counter Person to work Wednesday to Saturday. Our hours of operation are M-F 8:30 to 5:30 PM, Sat 8:30-2:30, Sun closed. Great for a person who is retired or someone looking for permanent part time work.

**Full Job Description**

**Summary**:
The works in a fast-paced automotive environment that involves constant interaction with customers in person and over the phone, with the use of a computerized automotive/battery parts look-up system. The role also involves a responsibility for maintaining the retail floor.

**Main Responsibilities and Tasks**:

- Provides excellent customer service and ensures an ongoing commitment to the needs of the customer.
- Directs or guides customer to the location of requested items.
- Responds to and handles customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
- Deals with challenging situations in a professional manner.
- Follows established procedures regarding the ordering and sale of batteries to customers.
- Processes returns, warranties as required.
- Tests and fills batteries. Tests starters and alternators. Training provided Operates the battery filling station as per training received.
- Stocks shelves and merchandise display areas.
- Maintains inventory accuracy and identifies/reports low stock levels.
- Performs other tasks as required.

**Requirements**:

- Basic math and typing skills.
- Being able to use a computor parts lookup system.
- Ability to operate a cash register is an asset.
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision with computerized systems.
- Highly approachable, customer-oriented individual who thrives on offering exceptional service to customers.
- Strong communication skills, ability to listen carefully and to give precise instructions.
- Ability to multitask, adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and solid work ethic.

**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**
- Standing/walking during shift.
- Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise item may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy".

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18-22 per week

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
