Toronto, Canada Mississauga Community Legal Services Full time

Mississauga Community Legal Services is a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. We provide legal advice and representation to low-income residents of the City of Mississauga in various areas of law. We focus our work in the areas of housing and homelessness, immigration law, workers’ rights, income security, violence and health, in conjunction with community development and organizing work to address systemic issues of social exclusion, displacement and poverty.

**The clinic is seeking an experienced Immigration Staff Lawyer to join our team on a permanent basis.**

**Qualifications Include**:

- At least 4 plus years of experience;
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
- Experience litigating at the Federal Court level;
- Experience with mentoring law students/paralegals;
- Knowledge in other areas of clinic law (Housing, Employment or Income Maintenance) will be an asset;
- Excellent oral and written advocacy skills;
- Commitment to social justice and broader poverty law issues;
- Experience providing services in a community legal clinic setting is highly desirable.

**The salary range is $83,524 -$102,723 commensurate with level of experience along with a comprehensive health and dental benefits, four weeks of vacation and a defined pension plan.**
